Indian Haven names new social services director

As the Indiana County Salary Board gathered for its monthly meeting Tuesday, the Communities at Indian Haven was confirming an action by the board two months ago, with its announcement of the appointment of Shayna Wensel as director of social services.
In her new role, CAIH said, Wensel oversees all of the complex’s social service functions, serving as a resident advocate and ensuring each resident’s psycho-social, spiritual needs and wishes are met and maintained from admission through discharge.

New administrator named for Communities at Indian Haven
A changing of the guard has been announced at Indiana County’s The Communities at Indian Haven skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.
CAIH announced Tuesday that Dana Heitzenrater, BSN, RN, NHA, CNDLTC, PCHA, was named the facility’s new administrator, succeeding longtime CAIH Administrator Kim Chi, who recently retired after 25 years of service.
“It is an honor to join The Communities at Indian Haven as Kim Chi retires,” Heitzenrater said. “I look forward to continuing to promote the highest level of service and dedication to our residents and staff.”
